After months of research, I decided to purchase the Breville Dual Boiler BES900XL. I believe its the best Espresso Machine money can buy for under $2000. I paired the Breville BES900XL with a Rancilio Rocky Grinder. The machine heats up very fast for a dual boiler. The front water fill is one of my favorite features. I love the heat element in the group head, the shot timer, hot water spout, steam lever, build quality, and the ability to customize the extraction process. One con is that you can't descale the machine. I am not sure if Breville will perform this service? I hope that the machine lasts a long time. I am crossing my fingers for long term support from Breville.

I LOVE Breville BES900XL. Best espresso shots I've ever pulled, and best cappucinnos I have ever tasted. Delicious and delightful coffee. I love all the little touches that Breville put into this machine: magnetic tamper, easy fill with water, supply storage, nice looking face, easy to use controls, excellent steam wand. Special mention to the auto-on feature, which means that when I come upstairs in the morning, the Breville BES900XL has already turned itself on and is warmed up for me. LOVE Breville BES900XL! I can't think of anything to change on this machine. It looks great, works perfectly, and gives me great coffee.

I have been playing around with my new Breville BES900XL for a couple weeks and have come to love it. My machine came with an uncalibrated OPV (over-pressure valve), which resulted in pressures of up to 11bar. This resulted in thin bodied espressos lacking the true flavor of the coffee that I used to get from my older comercial machine (rancilio epoca). After some research I found that adjusting the OPV was actually a matter of removing the back panel attached by 4 screws and turning counter-clockwise the OPV one full turn. Easy enough for anyone to do and now get 9bar results I was looking for.
